The Forest Kita
Our forest kita - a tip with a positive effect to strengthen the immune system.
The Wald-Kita Uhu is located on Steinacherstrasse in the Pfadihaus Langwis with a view of Lake Zurich. She is only 5 minutes away by bus from the Step-by-Step kita.
In case of a storm or very bad weather, we have the opportunity to stay in the cozy rooms of the kita.
The Forest Group
Is a group of around 11 children from the age of 2,5 years, who will discover nature together over the whole year in a small, private forest.
Supervision
The group will be organised and led by a pedagogically trained professional. Depending on the number of children, the group will be accompanied by 3-4 adults. All accompanying adults are additionally trained in the safe handling of children in nature.
Days
The forest group is open from Tuesday to Thursday.
On Monday we offer an outdoor group. The group is located in the Gymroom. From there, full-day or half-day excursions are made. We eat and sleep on the way or in the Gymroom.
Times
The children may be brought and picked up within the opening times of the KiTa STEP-BY-STEP from 7.00. But they should be here by 9:30 at the latest. The group will be back in the KiTa by 17:00 at the latest. Children who live in Wädenswil or Au can also be brought directly to the forest and/or be picked up there. Times for this : from 10:15 to 16:15.
Food
As in the KiTa, fresh, warm meals will be prepared. We will either be bringing the food from the KiTa and warming it over a fire, or cooking the food on site over the fire or in the kitchen. The children will be allowed to help with the preparation of the food and, under careful supervision, with the building of the fire.
Forest
The Forest Group is located in the Pfadiheim Langwis on Steinacherstrasse in Au-Wädenswil.
From the Pfadiheim it is only a short walk into the beautiful woods with several large fireplaces.
Forest Cottage
In the case of bad weather, or also for the purpose of sleeping, a newly renovated, heated cottage with a built-in kitchen is available for our use.
Registration/Days
It is possible to combine the forest days with KiTa days. This means that there must be a minimum of 2 KiTa days and then as many forest days as desired. It is also possible to have just one forest group day on its own without any KiTa days.
